Ex-UBS Banker Gets Time Served For Insider Trading

Law360, New York (December 22, 2010, 8:21 PM EST) -- A judge on Wednesday sentenced a former UBS AG investment banker to the time he has already spent in federal custody for passing along inside tips to friends in whose cases he subsequently served as a government witness.

Judge Richard Sullivan sentenced Cyprus, Greece, native Nicos Stephanou to the 22 months he has already spent in a federal detention center and imposed a $14 million forfeiture order during a hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
