Judge Denies Research in Motion Request for Stay of Appeal

Law360 (November 1, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Judge Raymond Clevenger III of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington D.C. denied a Research In Motion Ltd. request to stay its appeal of the lawsuit filed by NTP over patents related to its Blackberry wireless devices, Dow Jones Newswires reported.

On Oct. 29, the judge ordered Research In Motion to issue its opening brief within 30 days, according to Dow Jones. Research In Motion had asked the court to stay the appeal until the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office completed...
