Silicon Labs Adds Patent Infringement Claims to Trade-Secret Lawsuit Vs. Axiom Microdevices

Law360 (September 14, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Silicon Laboratories Inc. has expanded its trade-secrets lawsuit against Axiom Microdevices to include claims of patent infringement relating to two U.S. patents.

The latest case focuses on alleged infringement by Axiom of two Silicon Labs patents granted in the U.S, numbers 6,549,071 and 6,788,141. The patents relate to Silicon Laboratories' proprietary technology for commodity complementary metal oxide semiconductor RF power amplifiers.

The companies have been entrenched in litigation since February, when Silicon Labs accused Axiom of stealing its trade secrets. Both companies supply CMOS power amplifiers...
