Baldwin Sues Costner Over $52M Deal With BP

Law360, New York (December 23, 2010, 4:48 PM EST) -- Stephen Baldwin has accused Kevin Costner and others of scheming to deny him his rightful stake in a joint-venture to sell oil cleanup devices to BP PLC, claiming Costner's bloc bought out his interest while hiding the fact that BP had agreed to a $52 million purchase order.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Baldwin and co-investor Spyridon Contogouris said that they had been bought out with money that was rightfully theirs since Costner and others...
