Feds Lose Bid To Revoke Ken Starr's Bail

Law360, New York (January 3, 2011, 1:53 PM EST) -- The federal government has lost a bid to revoke Kenneth Ira Starr’s $10 million bail, despite its argument that the jailed money manager had failed to prove he wouldn’t flee before his Feb. 2 sentencing for fraud.

Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York denied the government’s motion to revoke Starr's bail on Dec. 28, but also rejected the money manager's request to reduce his bail to $5 million.
