Enviro Groups Sue Calif. Agency To Stop Pesticide

Law360, New York (January 4, 2011, 7:32 PM EST) -- A coalition of environmental and farmworkers groups is suing a California state agency for allegedly fast-tracking the approval of a strawberry pesticide before Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger left office.

Earthjustice and California Rural Legal Assistance Inc. filed the suit Thursday in the Superior Court of California, Alameda County, alleging the California Department of Pesticide Regulation's Dec. 20 approval of methyl iodide violated several state laws.
