ITC To Review Pipe Fitting Duties From China, Others

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 5:25 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has voted to conduct expedited sunset reviews of anti-dumping duty orders on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings from China, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil and Thailand, citing U.S. industry concerns.

The ITC’s six commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to conduct the expedited five-year reviews, saying they had received adequate responses from domestic groups that would be affected if the orders were lifted.

The respondent groups’ remarks were insufficient to block expedited reviews, the ITC said.
