Blizzard, Activision, Zynga Sued Over Gaming Patent

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 4:30 PM EST) -- A company founded by the creator of is accusing video game makers Activision Inc., Blizzard Entertainment Inc. and Zynga Inc. of infringing patented technology that allows players to compete in online tournaments.

Games infringing U.S. Patent Number 6,425,828 include the World of Warcraft role-playing series, the Call of Duty video games and the social networking game "Mafia Wars," according to the complaint Walker Digital LLC filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Monday.
