GPS Rivals Clash Over Patents In ITC

Law360, New York (April 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Global Locate Inc. has fired back against rival SiRF Technology Inc.’s patent infringement claims regarding global positioning satellite technology by filing a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Global Locate filed the claim Monday against GPS chipmaker SiRF and four of its customers for allegedly infringing six patents concerning GPS devices. Global Locate also filed a response to SiRF’s ITC complaint against the company, which was filed in February.
