Judge Allows Allied Subpoenas To Stand

Law360, New York (April 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As the fight over Allied Holdings Inc.’s reorganization plan heats up, a federal bankruptcy judge has refused to exempt a group of shareholders from subpoenas issued by the auto carrier's largest unsecured creditor, Yucaipa Cos.

Judge C. Ray Mullins of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Atlanta on Thursday denied the ad hoc shareholders committee's request to be excused from handing over documents to Yucaipa, the private equity company that owns about half of Allied’s unsecured claims.
