Bills Take Aim At Minn. Ban On New Nuclear Plants

Law360, New York (January 12, 2011, 2:37 PM EST) -- Republican lawmakers in Minnesota, fresh off their takeover of the state legislature, have introduced bills that would end the state's moratorium on the future construction of nuclear power facilities.

A bill sponsored by state Rep. Joyce Peppin and 24 of her colleagues was introduced Monday in the Minnesota House of Representatives, and a companion bill sponsored by state Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch and three of her colleagues was introduced the same day in the Minnesota Senate.
