Kansas AG Wants In On Health Care Challenge

Law360 (January 12, 2011, 5:07 PM EST) -- The new attorney general of Kansas is seeking to join the growing list of state attorneys general mounting a legal challenge to the constitutionality of the health care reform law Congress passed last spring.

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt sent a letter to Florida Attorney General Pamela Jo Bondi on Wednesday asking her to amend the complaint “as soon as possible” to add Kansas to the 20 state plaintiffs in the case, currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida....
