Ex-Bank One Exec Asks To Remain Free Pending Appeal

Law360, New York (January 12, 2011, 8:17 PM EST) -- Former Bank One Corp. executive John Ohle asked a federal judge Wednesday to let him remain free on bond after his sentencing because he is appealing his convictions on tax evasion and conspiracy to commit bank fraud charges.

Ohle filed a motion for release in advance of his sentencing, scheduled for Thursday, before Judge Jed Rakoff in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, arguing he should not be sent to prison until the court makes a decision about his pending motion...
