Investigators Score Class Status In Geico FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (January 13, 2011, 7:18 PM EST) -- A federal judge has conditionally certified a class of security investigators who accuse Geico General Insurance Co. of denying overtime pay owed them under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Judge Roger Titus of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on Wednesday granted the workers' bid to certify a nationwide class of security investigators, excluding those working in California, where Geico investigators are paid overtime.
