Intel, Insurers Drop Last Antitrust Defense Claims

Law360, New York (January 14, 2011, 2:43 PM EST) -- Intel Corp. and two insurers have dropped surviving breach of contract and bad faith claims following a judge's December ruling that the insurers had no duty to cover the tech giant for antitrust suits brought by rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

Judge Jeremy Fogel signed off on the agreement Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California between Intel and defendants American Guarantee and Liability Insurance Co. and Markel American Insurance Co.
