Bioelements Strikes Deal In Cosmetics Price-Fixing Suit

Law360, New York (January 14, 2011, 4:21 PM EST) -- Cosmetics company Bioelements Inc. has agreed to refrain from requiring retailers to sell its products at artificially high prices in order to resolve the state of California's lawsuit alleging the company engaged in an online vertical price-fixing scheme.

Judge Harold W. Hopp of the Superior Court of California on Tuesday signed off on the parties' proposed final judgment, which included a permanent injunction barring Bioelements and all entities and agencies acting in concert with the company from fixing resale prices for its merchandise.
