Clearwire Infringed Logo Trademark, Sony Ericsson Says

Law360, New York (January 14, 2011, 6:44 PM EST) -- Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB on Friday accused Clearwire Corp. of attempting to gain an unfair competitive edge in the smartphone and mobile broadband markets by infringing a federally trademarked green-and-white swirl logo.

Clearwire, a growing broadband provider whose subscriber count quadrupled in 2010, has continued to flaunt infringing logos in its advertisements despite promising it would stop, Sony complained in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
