House Deals Symbolic Blow To Health Care Law

Law360, New York (January 19, 2011, 6:20 PM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday to fully repeal the recently enacted health care reform law, setting off a second round of legislative squabbling over new rules to expand insurance coverage and benefits for all Americans.

The final vote on H.R. 2, which would roll back the entire Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, split largely along party lines, 245 to 189, with four Democrats breaking rank to join Republicans in supporting the repeal bill.
