US Triumphs In Weston's $12M Cleanup Contract Suit

Law360, New York (January 19, 2011, 2:05 PM EST) -- A judge ruled Wednesday against Weston Solutions Inc. in its suit alleging the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers improperly prevented it from negotiating for a contract of up to $12 million to clean up a hazardous waste site in Alaska.

In a sealed opinion and order, Judge Nancy Firestone of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims granted judgment in favor of the U.S. over Weston's protest that the Corps used a flawed process in selecting firms with which to negotiate.
