Ex-Morgan Stanley Employee Accused Of Theft

Law360, New York (April 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Prosecutors have nabbed a former employee of Morgan Stanley for allegedly conspiring to steal proprietary information regarding hedge funds from the firm.

Ronald Peteka, 41, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of conspiracy. If Peteka is convicted he could face a total sentence of five years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000. He has been released on $35,000 bond.

The arrest follows the February guilty plea of Ira Chilowitz, a former computer consultant of Morgan Stanley, to four counts of conspiracy, transportation of stolen...
