US Cos. Want Higher Duties On Chinese Water Chemical

Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 5:05 PM EST) -- Clearon Corp. and Occidental Chemical Corp. are challenging a reduced anti-dumping duty rate of 2.66 percent on imports of chlorinated isocyanurates from Chinese water treatment chemical producer Hebei Jiheng Chemical Corp. Ltd.

The U.S. Department of Commerce flubbed the duty review when it rejected information provided by India's Aditya Birla Chemicals Ltd. as a source of financial ratios, the domestic producers argue in a suit filed Wednesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade.
