United Food Beef Recalled Over Listeria Fears

Law360 (January 19, 2011, 4:43 PM EST) -- California beef processor United Food Group LLC is recalling 7,875 pounds of ready-to-eat Angus beef patties because they may be contaminated with Listeria, which can lead to severe food poisoning.

United Food, which also does business as Moran's Ground Beef, said the Class I recall applied to 22.5-pound cases of fully cooked black Angus ground beef steak patties, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Wednesday.
