Enviro Groups Hit EPA With Pesticide Suit

Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 6:43 PM EST) -- Two environmental groups lodged a suit Thursday alleging that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency failed to consult with federal wildlife agencies regarding the effects of pesticides on endangered and threatened species.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, is the most comprehensive legal action ever brought under the Endangered Species Act to protect imperiled species from pesticides, according to the Center for Biological Diversity and Pesticide Action Network North America.
