Activision Adds EA To $400M Contract Fight Over Game

Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 8:00 PM EST) -- Activision Publishing Inc. has added Electronic Arts Inc. to a breach of contract lawsuit against two of its former video game developers who allegedly conspired to derail the plaintiff's multibillion-dollar “Call of Duty” franchise.

Activision, a unit of Activision Blizzard Inc., filed a first amended cross-complaint Tuesday in the California Superior Court, Los Angeles County, that named EA as a cross-defendant, along with game development studio Infinity Ward Inc.'s former President Jason West and former CEO Vince Zampella.
