JPMorgan, Other Banks Hit With False Marking Suits

Law360 (January 21, 2011, 2:26 PM EST) -- Main Hastings LLC has accused JPMorgan Chase & Co., Citigroup Inc. and others of using expired patents to market banking phone technology and check-clearing systems.

Other defendants named Thursday by the frequent qui tam plaintiff in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas include First Citizens BancShares Inc., HSBC USA Inc. and PNC Bank NA.
