Pilots Sue FAA Over Mandatory Retirement Age

Law360, New York (April 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to repeal a nearly 50-year-old-law that forces them to retire at age 60, three airline pilots have sued the Federal Aviation Administration in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C.

The pilots, who fly for US Airways, are Joseph G. LoVecchio, Lewis J. Tetlow and Richard C. Morgan. Tetlow turned 60 last week, Morgan will reach 60 on May 21 and LoVecchio turned 59 in January.
