BNY Mellon Slammed With Age, Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 4:32 PM EST) -- A woman who used to work as a portfolio officer at Bank of New York Mellon Corp. has accused the asset management company of sex and age discrimination, saying she was paid less and treated worse than her male counterparts.

Rochelle Cohen filed the complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, also alleging she was fired for opposing the firm's illegal employment practices. BNY Mellon told her she was fired because her position was eliminated, the suit says....
