Dunn Wants Subcontractors' Insurers To Cover Defense

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 4:42 PM EST) -- Dunn Southeast Inc. has sued three insurers in an effort to secure coverage for its defense in a lawsuit over allegedly shoddy work by subcontractors that caused $44 million in damage to a Texas hospital.

The construction company filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking a declaration that its subcontractors' insurers, Interstate Fire & Casualty Co., American Casualty Co. of Reading, Pa., and Mt. Hawley Insurance Co., must fund its legal defense.
