US To Ease Rules On Indian High Tech Exports

Law360 (January 25, 2011, 5:41 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has taken the first steps toward implementing export control policy initiatives outlined in a bilateral agreement between the U.S. and India, easing export restrictions on Indian technology and defense companies.

Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security published a notice in the Federal Register on Monday, updating the Export Administration Regulations that eases certain restrictions on Indian exports as part of a mutual export control reform program.
