Mylan Settles Suits Over Pfizer's Lipitor, Caduet

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 3:24 PM EST) -- Drug giant Pfizer Inc. and generics maker Mylan Inc. have struck a deal over Mylan's efforts to sell generic versions of cholesterol drug Lipitor and combination blood pressure and cholesterol treatment Caduet.

Mylan announced in separate press releases Tuesday that it had entered into confidential settlement agreements with Pfizer that will resolve litigation pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware related to the two drugs and allow Mylan to begin manufacturing generic Caduet before the expiration of Pfizer's patent covering the drug....
