Dutch Antitrust Agency Probes TUI Over Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 4:17 PM EST) -- The Dutch competition watchdog on Tuesday began investigating whether the local subsidiary of U.K.-based leisure travel company TUI Travel PLC engaged in a price-fixing scheme.

TUI Nederland said that the Netherlands Competition Authority launched a review this morning to examine whether the company took part in any illegal price-fixing activities within the travel industry.

TUI Nederland will cooperate fully with the investigation and awaits the outcome of the examination with confidence, the company said.
