PepsiCo Hit With Trademark Suit Over Polar Brand

Law360, New York (January 26, 2011, 1:47 PM EST) -- New England beverage company Polar Corp. has slapped PepsiCo. Inc. and a subsidiary with a suit claiming a new slush-type drink that the companies are peddling infringes the “Polar” trademark.

In a complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Polar accuses PepsiCo and The Concentrate Manufacturing Co. of Ireland of infringing its trademarks through a noncarbonated, nonalcoholic frozen beverage called “Polar Shock.”
