Obama Taps Cohen As Economic Sanctions Chief

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 6:55 PM EST) -- The White House has nominated former WilmerHale partner David S. Cohen to replace outgoing Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey in the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Cohen, who has been working as Levey's deputy since 2009, will inherit a portfolio that includes oversight of U.S. sanctions against Iran and North Korea, as well as U.S. policy to combat terrorist financing.
