Warner Chilcott, Roche Sue Teva Over Actonel ANDA

Law360 (January 26, 2011, 8:46 PM EST) -- Warner Chilcott Co. LLC and Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. have launched a suit alleging Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. infringed a patent through its efforts to win regulatory approval of a generic form of osteoporosis drug Actonel.

The drug companies filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Monday, challenging Teva's submission of an amended abbreviated new drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market 150 mg risedronate sodium tablets, a generic form of once-a-month Actonel.
