Judge Approves $1.35M Deal In DirecTV Overtime MDL

Law360 (January 26, 2011, 2:46 PM EST) -- A federal judge has preliminarily approved a $1.35 million settlement between MultibandEC Inc. and a class of Ohio technicians who claimed the company, which serviced DirecTV Inc. television systems, shorted them on overtime pay.

Judge Martin Feldman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Monday signed off on the settlement, conditionally certifying the class of employees and resolving claims in the case.
