Amazon Settles With Texas OCR Over Search Patent

Law360 (January 26, 2011, 5:54 PM EST) -- Amazon.com Inc. has reached a settlement with Texas OCR Technologies LLC, bringing an end to OCR’s infringement action over online search technology.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas dismissed the lawsuit on Monday after receiving word from OCR that the parties “have reached an agreement in principal that resolves all claims asserted between plaintiff and Amazon.”
