Xerox, Others Infringe Tech Patent, Gemini Says

Law360 (January 26, 2011, 12:15 PM EST) -- Gemini IP LLC has filed an infringement suit against eight defendants from varying business sectors including Xerox Corp., Computer Sciences Corp. and Ingersoll-Rand Co., opening a new front in a battle over its patent for network-based customer service.

Also named as defendants in Gemini IP's latest suit, lodged Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, are Fidelity Information Services Inc., Fiserv Inc., Novell Inc., Symantec Corp. and Zappos.com Inc.

The defendants are allegedly infringing U.S. Patent Number 6,177,932, issued in 2001...
