Expeditors Claims USFS Supply Contracts Are Bogus

Law360, New York (January 26, 2011, 3:48 PM EST) -- Emergency support provider Expeditors by Lindale Inc. on Wednesday filed suit over the U.S. Forest Service's multimillion-dollar blanket purchase agreements, alleging the agency failed to establish binding terms and foster competition among potential contractors.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, alleges that eight preseason incident blanket purchase agreements for tents and truck services, each worth between $1 million and $3 million, are unenforceable and bar proper competition as procurement contracts.
