USPTO Upholds Sidense Memory Chip Patent

Law360 (January 26, 2011, 7:08 PM EST) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has upheld the validity of a Sidense Corp. patent covering a type of memory chip, issuing a blow to Kilopass Technology Inc., a rival that sued Sidense for infringing three of its related patents.

The USPTO issued an action closing prosecution of the re-examination of Sidense's U.S. Patent No. 7,402,855, confirming that each of the original patent claims is valid and finding that all of Sidense's proposed new claims are patentable, Sidense said in a statement Wednesday.
