Dell Worker's Insider Trading Suit Counterclaim Nixed

Law360, New York (January 26, 2011, 8:37 PM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed a former Dell Inc. administrative assistant's tortious interference counterclaim in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's suit accusing her and her husband of insider trading tied to Dell's $3.9 billion offer to buy Perot Systems Corp.

Magistrate Judge Andrew W. Austin of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas granted the SEC's motion Tuesday to strike Marleen Jantzen's counterclaims for tortious interference and attorneys' fees as well as several affirmative defenses she and her husband, John, asserted....
