Ex-J&G Attys Want Evidence Barred In Tax Fraud Case

Law360 (January 28, 2011, 3:49 PM EST) -- Former Jenkens & Gilchrist LLP lawyers and other professionals accused of helping wealthy clients cheat on their taxes are seeking to block the federal government from introducing exhibits they call irrelevant and unfairly prejudicial at trial.

The defendants filed seven motions to preclude various government exhibits and testimony in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday — the same day prosecutors responded to their seven previous motions to preclude assorted exhibits and testimony.
