FCC Seeks To Toss Verizon, MetroPCS Net Rules Appeals

Law360, New York (January 28, 2011, 5:07 PM EST) -- The Federal Communications Commission asked the D.C. Circuit on Friday to toss as untimely Verizon Communications Inc. and MetroPCS Communications Inc.'s challenges to new net neutrality rules extending the agency's authority to regulate the Internet.

Verizon filed its appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit before the new Internet rules had been posted in the Federal Register and before courts had established whether the D.C.
