Nutter Atty To Aid Mass. In SEC Goldman-Cahill Probe

Law360, New York (January 31, 2011, 7:16 PM EST) -- Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP partner Ian D. Roffman has been hired to coordinate the Massachusetts state treasurer's response to an inquiry by U.S. securities regulators into the relationship between Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and former treasurer Timothy Cahill's ex-staffers.

Roffman, a former trial attorney in the enforcement division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Boston office, will help steer the department's reply to a subpoena from the SEC, Treasury spokesman Barry Nolan confirmed Monday.
