Spinal Kinetics Denied Quick Win In Implant IP Battle

Law360, New York (January 31, 2011, 8:29 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday denied Spinal Kinetics Inc.'s bid for summary judgment in a case that claims the company's intervertebral implants infringe a patent belonging to Synthes USA LLC.

Judge Ronald M. Whyte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California refused to grant Spinal Kinetics summary judgment for noninfringement of the three claims at issue.
