St. Paul Tries To Evade Texas Oil Spill Costs

Law360, New York (January 31, 2011, 7:58 PM EST) -- St. Paul Surplus Lines Insurance Co. sued Davis Gulf Coast Inc. on Monday, claiming it should not foot the bill for cleanup costs resulting from a Texas pipe leak that allegedly spilled crude oil into a federal wildlife refuge.

St. Paul filed the declaratory judgment complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, seeking a ruling that it has no obligation to cover costs associated with the spill.
