Chinese Drywall Not Tied To 11 Deaths, CDC Says

Law360, New York (February 1, 2011, 12:54 PM EST) -- A review by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Environmental Health has found no link between Chinese drywall and 11 reported deaths.

The CDC said in a report dated Jan. 3 but announced Monday that based on clinical investigations, exposure to the defective drywall wasn't believed to be a contributing factor in the deaths of those who lived in or visited homes containing the material.
