TAM Flight Crash Suit Belongs In Brazil: 11th Circ.

Law360, New York (February 1, 2011, 6:45 PM EST) -- The Eleventh Circuit said Tuesday that Brazil is a better forum for the claims of about 80 plaintiffs who sued Airbus SAS and others after their relatives died in the 2007 crash of a TAM Linhas Aereas airliner in Sao Paulo.

The decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit even applies to the family of a U.S. citizen who died on TAM Flight 3054. The ruling largely upheld a decision from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida....
