Pa. Enviro Groups Seek Removal Of Natural Gas Wells

Law360 (February 2, 2011, 7:22 PM EST) -- Two nonprofits have sued the Delaware River Basin Commission alleging that it exceeded its authority when it exempted certain natural gas wells from a moratorium on drilling.

The suit, filed by Pennsylvania nonprofit groups Delaware Riverkeeper Network and Damascus Citizens for Sustainability Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on Jan. 21 but made public Monday, alleges DRBC wrongly exempted certain state drilling permits from the natural gas well moratorium.
