Ex-Workers Hit Chipotle With Late Pay Class Action

Law360, New York (February 4, 2011, 6:01 PM EST) -- Two former employees of a Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. restaurant have launched a proposed class action accusing the burrito chain of sending them their final paychecks too late, in violation of a Minnesota wage law.

The former Chipotle employees, Tanya Cortes and Alejandro Juarez, were reportedly fired in December along with other Minnesota Chipotle employees after a federal immigration audit showed that some workers were illegal immigrants, according to a complaint filed Thursday in Hennepin County District Court in Minneapolis.
