7th Circ. Won't Rehear Admiral Coverage Conflict

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 12:41 PM EST) -- The Seventh Circuit has rejected Admiral Insurance Co.’s bid for a rehearing, standing by a January decision that revived R.C. Wegman Construction Co.'s suit alleging the insurer failed to notify it of coverage shortfalls in an underlying worker injury action.

On Friday the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit refused to revisit its finding that Admiral failed to properly handle Wegman’s defense and concealed a conflict of interest arising from the fact that damages in the case would likely exceed the $1 million coverage...
